Warrant of Arrest Issued for Jub Jub Ahead of His Next Court Appearance
Following the postponement of Jub Jub’s court appearance, a warrant of arrest was issued for the singer-songwriter and TV presenter for failing to honour the date he was slated for regarding his new court date. Born Molemo Maarohanye, the Uyajola 9/9 star found himself on the wrong side of the law after being charged with reckless discharge of a firearm in a public place, attempted kidnapping, as well as defeating the ends of justice.

The mercurial star, currently out on R5 000 bail, was due to appear before the judge at the Gemiston Magistrate’s Court on the 24th of August 2026. The failure to appear in court triggered the dispensation of the warrant of arrest, which is set to be activated on the 7th of September 2026, lest he fail to honour his next court day with his presence.

Jub Jub’s absence was, according to the man himself, chalked up to alleged illness.
In June 2026, the “Ndikhokhele” hitmaker found himself entangled in an apparent misunderstanding in Edenvale with an Uber driver who had taken his partner to his place, the ride’s intended destination. According to reports, Jub Jub accused the e-hailing driver of having an affair with his girlfriend, which led to the controversial star turning the incident into a hostage situation in which he barred the driver from leaving and also discharged his firearm in the process.
The Uber transporter managed to escape unscathed, though he did take the matter to the police, who swiftly apprehended Jub Jub. The accused denied the charges levelled against him, the star also alleging that he didn’t know what the charges were for and that the whole scandal was a concocted smear campaign aimed at taking him down.
