Uyajola 9/9 Presenter Jub Jub Arrested and Will Appear in Court for Three Charges

Musician and Uyajola 9/9 presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye was arrested. The controversial “Ndikhokhele” hitmaker found himself embroiled in an e-hailing squabble that resulted in the star allegedly discharging a firearm in public. The star has since been scourged with three charges: the unlawful discharge of a firearm in a public space, kidnapping, as well as defeating the ends of justice.

According to reports, a driver working as an Uber transporter had just finished a ride, with the hailing request coming from a lady he had to drop off at Edenvale. The driver, upon finishing the ride, chanced upon Maarohanye. In an ironic turn of events, given the nature of the popular Moja Love show Uyajola 9/9, Jub Jub came out of the property—understood to be the ride’s chosen destination—and started accusing the Uber driver of having an affair with the lady, who is also his girlfriend.

The 45-year-old then allegedly detained the Uber driver in his vehicle, barring him from leaving. It is also alleged that Maarohanye fired his gun on the scene during the incident, though no one has been reported to be injured or dead from the discharged firearm.

The driver, however, managed to escape the situation and made a beeline for the police station, where he promptly opened a case against Jub Jub.

This is a developing story.
