Blue Mbombo and Thami Ndlala’s Legal Battle Intensifies Ahead of November Court Dates
The legal battle between TV personality, entrepreneur and model Blue Mbombo and businessman Thami Ndlala has intensified following Ndlala’s arrest, his public denial of the allegations against him and a R10 million pledge towards legal assistance and gender-based violence (GBV) initiatives.
On the 2nd of October 2026, Mbombo released a statement titled “I fear for my life,” alleging that she had suffered abuse, harassment and intimidation at the hands of Ndlala, who is married to media personality Lerato Kganyago. Mbombo alleged that Ndlala had made death threats against her and her child over several months, with the situation reportedly increasing in intensity.
Mbombo further stated that she had opened a case against Ndlala with the South African Police Service (SAPS), claiming that her case was “supported by substantial evidence”. She also confirmed that an interim protection order had been issued against him.

Ndlala later responded through the Thami Ndlala Foundation, categorically denying the allegations and stating that he would address the matter through the appropriate legal processes. The Foundation also questioned the supporting evidence referenced in Mbombo’s application, claiming that the documentation before Ndlala did not contain the material she had referred to.
The matter took another turn on the 12th of October when Ndlala was arrested in connection with the case. He was subsequently granted R10,000 bail following his appearance in court, with intimidation and extortion charges reported in connection with the dispute. His criminal case was postponed to the 20th of November 2026 for further investigation.
Ndlala broke his silence at a press conference hosted by the Foundation on the 22nd of October, where he again denied threatening Mbombo and described the allegations as fabricated. He also questioned the handling of the investigation by SAPS, claiming that there were irregularities surrounding his arrest warrant and that he had previously offered to cooperate with investigators.

During the same briefing, the Foundation announced a R9 million pledge towards legal assistance through SP Attorneys, with a further R1 million allocated to organisations working to combat GBV. The combined R10 million commitment is intended to support people who require legal representation, including vulnerable individuals who cannot afford legal services.
The businessman also appeared on Podcast and Chill with MacG, where he discussed his relationship with Mbombo, the Foundation’s previous involvement in her circumstances and the allegations surrounding the missing Rolex watch. Ndlala has reportedly opened a theft case alleging that Mbombo took and sold the watch, while Mbombo shared valuation documents and social media posts addressing the controversy. The claims surrounding the watch have not been independently verified.

In a separate development, the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg issued an interim order on the 3rd of October concerning the publication of certain allegations against Ndlala. The matter is expected to return to court on the 9th of November 2026, when the respondents will be required to show why the requested relief should not be made final. The order does not constitute a finding that Mbombo’s allegations are false.
As of the 23rd of October, the pair have reportedly reduced their direct public exchanges on social media, although the legal disputes remain unresolved. With the High Court matter scheduled for the 9th of November and Ndlala’s criminal case set to return to court on the 20th of November, the developments are expected to remain in the public eye in the coming weeks.
For now, the allegations against Ndlala remain unproven, while the claims surrounding the Rolex watch have yet to be established. The outcome of the pending proceedings will determine how the dispute progresses.
This is a developing story.
