After 9 years since the release of her first album Songs About You, celebrated singer and songwriter Thabsie returns to music with her latest project offering titled While You Wait.
Giving music lovers a fresh sound that offers more perspective on the artist she’s evolved into, musician, entrepreneur and digital content creator Bathabise Vokwana, known by her supporters as Thabsie, returns fully into the music scene with a surprise drop of her EP titled While You Wait. After the release of her single “Again” in November 2025, the singer, under her independent label Song Bird Entertainment made the decision to release an EP as a teaser offering to her soon to come sophomore album.

The R&B project is about the emotional roller coaster that comes with being in a romantic relationship. It speaks to the tug-of-war of the acknowledgment of being in a bad relationship, but battling with an indescribable emotional pull that keeps drawing you back. The EP also comes with songs including interpolations from the early 2000’s hit house song “Once Again” by Harrison.
Crump, and a fusion of legendary local hits from Mina Nawe’s “Where I Should Be”, and DJ Tira’s “Won’t Let Go”. The EP also has a surprise feature with award winning Hip-Hop favourite Emtee on the opening track titled “Good Time”.

This return is a personal and emotional one for Thabsie as she continues to embark on a journey of doing things her way, melodically sharing love and female stories through song, and delivering it to music lovers as she has envisioned.
