Reasons behind Akon’s no-show at Saint are yet to be uncovered
Cape Town based establishment Saint Champagne Bar and Lounge, shared details on why International muso Akon was a no show.
The Senegalese-American singer was booked for a three nights appearance, starting from this past Tuesday but according to Saint, never showed.
According to the statement, Saint Champagne Bar and Lounge were approached by the singer’s representatives presenting an opportunity to book him.
“After numerous meetings, we agreed on a sum to be paid. We then paid over the amount to the representatives, as per our agreement in full and on time.
“We have now noticed that there seems to have been an issue that we are still trying to ascertain the facts thereof between the representatives of the artist and his management which has caused Akon to not honour the booking.” read the statement.
It further states that there seems to be miscommunication between Akon’s representatives, his management team and the artist, which is yet to be uncovered.
The lounge also confirmed that Akon will not make any further appearance for the remainder of the nights advertised.
