Pamela Mtanga’s Television Return Earns Early Recognition with Best TV Presenter Nomination
It has taken just weeks for Pamela Mtanga’s latest television venture to earn her a place among South Africa’s recognized presenting talent. Fresh off the launch of Mzansi Magic’s VIP Lounge, the television presenter and multimedia personality has received a nomination for Best TV Presenter at the 4th annual National Film & TV Awards South Africa, marking an impressive start to this new chapter of her broadcasting career.
The nomination comes after VIP Lounge made its television debut on 2 October. For Mtanga, whose career has steadily evolved across broadcasting, entertainment and digital media, the early recognition is a significant moment that speaks to both her experience in front of the camera and her growing presence in South African television.

Produced by Homebrew Films, VIP Lounge sees Mtanga join musician and presenter Zulu Mkhathini in celebrating the personalities, spaces and stories shaping South African popular culture. From exclusive access to celebrity worlds and entertainment sets to conversations with influential figures across music, fashion and the creative industries, the show offers an intimate look at the people behind the headlines.
For Mtanga, whose career has seen her engage with some of the country’s biggest cultural moments, the format is a natural fit. Her ability to navigate conversations with ease, connect with guests and bring authenticity to the screen has become a defining characteristic of her presenting style. The nomination, coming so soon after the show’s premiere, adds another notable achievement to an already impressive broadcasting portfolio.
“This recognition came as a massive surprise especially because the show has been on screen for less than a month. I grew up watching lifestyle shows like Selimathunzi and Top Billing, and VIP Lounge is reminiscent of those shows. Being a part of people’s homes and ultimately their Friday plans is such an incredible feeling, and to be nominated is even more special.”

The recognition also places Mtanga among a competitive field of nominees that includes some of South Africa’s familiar television personalities, with her VIP Lounge co-host, Zulu Mkhathini, also receiving a nomination in the same category.
Beyond VIP Lounge, October has been a particularly significant month for Mtanga. She also recently debuted as host of Elevator Love, another Mzansi Magic production, which premiered on 18 October. The reality dating show offers a different side of her presenting abilities, as she guides hopeful singles through an unconventional approach to finding love.
Her latest television success builds on years of experience across the industry, including presenting roles on Massive Music, Afrimaxx and Will He Say Yes?. She has also hosted some of South Africa’s most prominent entertainment events, including Miss South Africa 2025 and the South African Music Awards 2025, further establishing her versatility across live broadcasting and television.
As Mtanga continues to expand her footprint in entertainment, the Best TV Presenter nomination arrives at a defining point in her career. With two new shows on air and industry recognition already accompanying her return to weekly television, her latest chapter is gathering momentum, and the spotlight is firmly on her.
