ICYMI: Gash1 and Thato Immaculate Go Their Separate Ways After Three-Year Marriage

South African media personality Thato Immaculate has confirmed the end of her marriage to Gashwan Brandon Mthombeni, sharing an emotional public statement that sheds light on her decision to walk away.

In the statement, Thato revealed that the couple had separated after three years of marriage, citing recent incidents that she says conflicted with her personal values. “Following incidents that happened the past few days that are irreconcilable by my standards and values, I have made the decision to walk away,” she said.

She added that both families had met to address the situation, and that her decision was communicated openly. “This is a decision I stand firm on,” she stated, while also making it clear that she would not be disclosing further details “out of respect for our families and for the sake of my son.”

Addressing the public reaction, Thato urged supporters and observers not to turn the separation into a spectacle. “I respectfully ask that this does not turn into a Thato vs Gash1 battle,” she said, reflecting on their relationship: “We met, fell in love, tried building a family to the best of our abilities.”

While acknowledging the emotional toll, she struck a tone of resolve. “For me I am heartbroken but I need to soldier on and continue working,” she shared.

The statement also underscored her personal boundaries, with Thato noting that she could not compromise on certain principles. “There are certain non-negotiables I cannot compromise on… I will not betray myself, I never have and I am not going to start now,” she said.
