
Forbes Africa 30 Under 30: 14 South Africans Takes Up Space In This Year’s List Including Tyla, Ama Qamata, and Chad Jones
The school of Forbes Africa has opened once again, and the class of 2024 has been announced with new 30 under 30 recruits from the very best portions of African soil.
This year’s enviable list marked the 10th anniversary of the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 compilation, with the keystone theme being: Passion, Purpose, and a Decade of the 30 Under 30 List South Africa boasts 14 entries for this year’s Forbes List, which includes Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Tyla, Blood & Water actress Ama Qamata, content creator Chad Jones, athlete Shaun Maswanganyi.
“It’s the 10th anniversary of FORBES AFRICA’S 30 under 30 list, and just like the honorees who have come before them, the class of 2024 too are driven by impact. Profits aside, it’s about achieving success with innovation, influence and individuality. They aren’t looking to fill big shoes but rather lace up their own and forge ahead with giant strides, leading by example and leaving an indelible path for the changemakers to come.” according to the preface on the official Forbes website.

As far as change-making is concerned, South Africa dominated this year’s edition of the Forbes List, with Mzansi stars accounting for 14 spots on the overall list of 30, which also saw them rub shoulders with juggernauts in Africa such as Nigerian footballer and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and compatriot Fireboy DML.
South African representatives within the list repped various industries such as sports (football and rugby), the beauty space, the entertainment industry (acting and music), e-commerce, as well as fashion.
