First ‘Big Brother Titan’ contestants to be evicted, Sandra and Theo Traw, tell it all
The first two Big Brother contestants to be evicted are Sandra and Theo Traw aka Santheo, just 14 days after its debut.
The pair, up against 22 other contestants, were in the running to walk away with US$100,000 – but unfortunately failed to garner enough votes against Juicy Jay & Olivia (Juiovla), Justin & Yvonne (Juvone) and Yemi Cregx & Nelisa (Yelisa).
The pair spill the tea about their time within the house.
How do you feel about being evicted?
Sandra: Oh my God, I’m going to cry. Obviously I can’t feel great but I think the real gag is what you do when you are outside. That’s where the real pressure is. I can’t really put my feelings into words but because I am positive, I plan to make money. Once I do that , I think I will feel better (LOL)
Theo : I feel very disappointed. I had a lot of expectations. I really thought I would make it to the end or at least half way through the show but not this early. It’s really been hard to accept and I am sad. I would have loved to stay a while longer.
How was your time in the house?
Sandra: It was awesome. I didn’t have to pay bills or worry about water or anything (LOL). It was like a mini vacation but also indulging my mind. At times when you are in your house or usual surroundings, you get complacent and not utilize your mind to the fullest and forget that you have your own talents. So I used my brain a lot, in ways I never thought I could. So I really enjoyed my time in the house.
Theo : My time in the house was a bit weird for the first week. I was trying to adapt and get to know 23 other people who are complete strangers. I found it hard to adjust at first but I tried my best to coexist and even if I wouldn’t get along with everyone, I tried to coexist.
What was your most favourite thing about being there?
Sandra: It has to be learning how accommodating I was, I am, I could be. I did not think I could let that many people in my space but once we started bonding, it literally felt like we were family. And the Saturday night parties (LOL). Get me LIT.
Theo : Receiving gifts from sponsors and Big Brother that was a really nice touch. I enjoyed the Friday night arena games, something I really wanted to do while watching the show. And the Saturday night parties of course.
Your least favourite moment?
Sandra: The pairs (LOL). When I got my pair, I felt like my guts were going to come out of my mouth. Thank God that didn’t happen because that would have been a mess. That was my least, least favourite moment. It wasn’t funny.
Theo : getting evicted. I feel like we didn’t have enough time to showcase what we can do. Just a week and a few days but I felt as a pair, we needed a bit more time.
What do you think about two giant countries like Nija and Mzansi coming together like this?
Sandra: It was cultural integration. I learnt so much. I ate several colours (popularly known as seven colours in Mzansi), snacks I had never seen before, roti bread which I absolutely loved. So it was a big cultural integration and I think the idea was an amazing one.
Theo : It’s great man. It changed the narrative that Nigeria and South Africa hate each other. It showed that we can actually come together, unite. We shouldn’t be the last group and hope that there’ll be more BB Titan housemates.
Since you have been evicted, who would you like to see win in the end?
Sandra: Right now, it is not clear especially because of the pairing. Before that, I probably would have chosen three people but right now it’s anyone’s game.
Theo : I would like to see Juicy Jay win but if he doesn’t, at least reach the final alongside Olivia, Marvin and Jaypee. I feel like if those four reach the finale, I would be really happy. If Juicy and Olivia win, that would be incredible.
What is the difference between watching the show on TV and actually being in it?
Sandra: It is a huge a** difference. I won’t lie, I used to criticise past players thinking something is simple or that they should do it this way or the other. When you are there, the pressure – when you are not a strong person you will crumble. So watching it on TV with popcorn and a bottle of wine does not come remotely close to being in it.
Theo: The pressure. When you step into that house, you don’t have any outside communication and therefore don’t know what’s happening. All you have are your thoughts and sometimes those could mislead you. You could do too much or be too relaxed. So you really don’t know anything.
If you had an extra week in the house, what would you have done differently?
Sandra: I’d probably have tried my best to see how me and my partner could be more in-sync. I’m a feisty person and I kinda needed someone who would rub off on me but I felt like I motivated myself and had to motivate him. But I really didn’t have the patience to do that. But if I had an extra week, I would try hard to make it work with my pair.
Theo: I would try to engage more with the housemates, bring myself more. I thought I would have more time to do that but clearly I didn’t but I would have gotten to know people more and stop overthinking and just play the game. I would have engaged more with the housemates.
What’s next?
Sandra: Oh honey, a lot. So I host corporate gigs, event shows, I’m a vixen, I’m an actress – although I have featured on two productions, it’s a lot for someone who comes from where I come from. I own three businesses – a clothing line, cosmetics and a bikini line, things that I want to grow. I plan to have a big outlet in Lagos State where you can walk in where you can find everything from all my businesses and then I will dabble in other things from influencing to appearances. So a lot is coming.
Theo: I want to focus more on my music, fashion and presenting. I also want to roll out social media content, plan it out and work with brands if they do come. Just try new things and expand myself.
