Fireboy DML, Timbaland Lead Afrosoul 2026’s Biggest Celebration Yet

Returning this October with an expanded vision, the festival will bring together some of the continent’s most influential artists and cultural ambassadors for a two-city celebration spanning Auckland, New Zealand, and Brisbane, Australia. Headlining this year’s edition are Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Fireboy DML and legendary Grammy-winning producer Timbaland, whose appearance marks a rare performance in the Southern Hemisphere. They will be joined by an impressive lineup that includes Omah Lay, Stefflon Don, Kranium, Juls, Donae’O, Jess B, and internationally acclaimed dance collective Jabbawockeez. Hosted by UFC champion Israel Adesanya, the festival reflects the growing cultural dialogue between Africa and the diaspora, bringing together artists whose music continues to dominate streaming platforms, festival stages and charts across continents.

Founded by Israel Adesanya and Mitch Lowe, Afrosoul has steadily established itself as one of the Southern Hemisphere’s premier celebrations of African culture. Following a successful debut at Lilyworld in 2025, the festival returns with an even more ambitious vision, expanding internationally with its first Australian edition in Brisbane. The move reflects both the growing demand for African cultural experiences and the increasingly diverse audiences embracing African music across New Zealand and Australia.
