Dr Fezile Mkhize Becomes First Black Man To Win Mister Supranational Title In 2024 Edition Held In Poland
South African doctor, actor, and model Fezile Mkhize made history and Mzansi proud, clinching the 2024 Mister Supranational title on the 4th of July 2024.
Held in Poland, the eighth edition of the international pageant, Fezile came out on top at this year’s edition which saw 30 entrants vie for the prize. The Bloemfontein-born doctor walking away with top honours makes him the first Black man to ever scoop the accolade. Furthermore, his win cemented South Africa as the first African country to produce a Mister Supranational, and Fezile subsequently became the first African to make his mark as winner in the competition’s history.
Mister Supranational’s mandate, from its inception in Poland, was to shift the paradigm of the industry, changing the status quo by being the first-ever contest of its kind. Boasting contemporary and high-fashion TV production, the maiden installment saw thirty-six countries compete for the honour, subsequently burgeoning into a brand which has sought to unearth fresh talent in the silver screen and modelling spaces, thus producing overnight stars.
