Big Brother Mzansi Set for Season 5 and Auditions Are Already Open

Reality TV series Big Brother Mzansi is set to return for its fifth season, and auditions for hopefuls wishing to make it into the show as housemates are officially open.

Announced on the 25th of September, season five of one of South Africa’s most followed and talked about shows is slated to run from January 2025 to March 2025.

“Mzansi Magic’s highly anticipated Big Brother Mzansi makes its grand return for season 5 – and it promises to be nothing short of explosive. The entry doors swing open today,

“Wednesday 25 September. That’s right: you can now enter to feature as one of the housemates in Mzansi’s biggest reality show,” according to the Big Brother Mzansi portal under the DStv website.

Would-be contestants need to film themselves for two minutes, explaining why they would be interesting as housemates, why their presence would be appreciated by the viewers, and what are the things that make them stand out from the crowd.

The entry portal for Big Brother Mzansi S5 will close at the end of October, and to enter for the show is completely free.

Those who desire to audition for a spot in the house must be a South African citizen or a legal resident who is at least 21 years of age (as of 1 January 2025).

As the Big Brother Mzansi franchise gears up for its fifth lap, prospective housemates will be looking to join the likes of winners such as Mandla (S1), Ntombi and Ace (S2), Mphowabadimo (S3), and McJunior (s4).
