A Happy Ending Between Jelly Babie and Big Save Cashier Martha Mazibuko
Beleaguered rising bacardi star Jelly Babie has mended fences with Big Save cashier Martha Mazibuko.
The musician and the cashier were involved in a back and forth that saw them trade scathing insults, with the “Jukulyn” singer deriding Martha, telling her “awu silo”, while apparent witnesses of the incident alleged that the fight broke out when Jelly Babie made derisive comments about being rich enough to pay those working at Big Save. With the backstory of the fight still left up in the air, netizens were left to exchange unproven theories about what happened before the explosion.
After the bitter spat between the two parties went viral across X, Twitter, and Facebook, the aftermath of the event proved damaging for both Jelly Babie and Mazibuko, with the former losing her followers as well as a partnership with beauty parlour P-Squared Beauty Palor while the latter was served with a temporary suspension.
The pair have since reconciled, with Jelly Babie posting pictures of the two together all smiles and in each other’s arms.

Before Jelly Babie and Mazibuko buried the hatchet, Big Save issued a statement regarding the incident,
“We as the management of Big Save wish to address a recent event that occurred at our Mabopane shop, where a cashier was suspended temporarily for disrespecting a customer. In line with the company code of conduct this is normal practice whilst an investigation is undertaken to establish the circumstances that prevailed, that lead to the incident.
“We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. It has come to our attention that a TikTok Influencer behaved inappropriately towards our staff member and we categorically state that this behaviour is unacceptable, we are committed to protecting the rights and well-being of our employees.” the statement said.
From the perspective of these recent developments, Mazibuko’s suspension has been lifted and she’s now back to work.
