2Shoes Debuts First Single “Loco” Under Jacquel Entertainment
2Shoes steps into a defining new chapter with the release of “Loco,” his first official single under Jacquel Entertainment. The record serves as the first offering under his landmark signing to the label, and it arrives as a statement.
Known for a sound rooted in deep, underground house textures, 2Shoes has built his reputation on precision, cultural awareness, and a creative range that extends well beyond the studio. His music does not chase trends, it moves with a deliberate, dancefloor-driven energy that has taken him from Johannesburg to AfroNation in Portimão, Boiler Room in Amsterdam, and the closing slot of the summer season at Hï Ibiza. “Loco” lives squarely in that territory and then pushes even further.
Released on, 3 April 2026, the record is not simply a club record. It is something more considered, a deliberate act of creative broadening that refuses to dilute in favour of connecting.

“It’s called ‘Loco,’ which basically means crazy, you know? Because we are crazy about the creative process, we’re crazy about life, we’re crazy about everything, we’re crazy about the people we have relationships with,” 2Shoes explains, “And that’s basically the meaning behind it.” In a moment where accessibility is often achieved at the cost of identity, he offers something rarer, music that travels without losing where it came from.
Sonically, “Loco” sits at the intersection of melodic Afro-house and Afro-pop, built around layered analog instrumentation that gives the record a fullness and warmth that expands well beyond minimal club structure.
“It’s more of a melodic Afro house song. The production side of it was actually crazy, because there were a lot of analog instruments used in it, so it’s sounding like a full track,” notes 2Shoes.
The production carries a richness that feels both immediate and immersive, designed for the dancefloor but built to resonate beyond it. Written by TRESOR and shaped by 2Shoes’s sonic direction, the record moves with a contemporary polish while maintaining the textured, rhythmic quality that defines his work at its most honest.
“This drop is a bit more commercial than the stuff I’m used to doing,” he says. “We are trying to make a song that can be taken in by everyone, especially people who are not really house fanatics. I’m very much a deep underground house personality, but we want to balance it out with the commercial aspect and bring people in.”

The record’s creation carried its own sense of ease. Working alongside TRESOR, whose songwriting instincts have shaped globally resonant records including Drake’s Honestly Nevermind, the process was fluid and instinctive from the outset.
“Getting it to a point where we all felt like it was ready to go was the only challenge,” 2Shoes says. “Everything else was quite smooth. The making was easy even though a lot of people were involved.” That ease is audible. There is a freedom to “Loco”, an openness, that overworked records rarely achieve.
That spontaneity is present throughout. There is a naturalness to the record, an emotional looseness that sits in productive tension with the precision of its production. Yet its intentions carry genuine weight. 2Shoes stretches the concept of creative freedom well beyond genre, framing “Loco” as something that can be felt across every kind of listener, not just those already inside the house music world. “I want people to feel happy,” he says. “To feel the creative freedom we had making it, and to dance.”
“Loco” also signals a maturation in 2Shoes’s creative direction that extends beyond the sonic. The growth is not departure but expansion. The way the production opens up, the confidence of an artist who no longer needs to stay within familiar walls because the foundation beneath him is solid enough to move from. His intention for the music extends beyond the dancefloor.

Speaking on the future, 2Shoes hints that a full project under Jacquel Entertainment is in development, with a European summer tour also on the horizon.
“We are dropping a project under Jacquel in the near future. And of course, a European summer tour coming up soon.”
With “Loco,” 2Shoes sets the tone for his next chapter, expanding his sound while staying rooted in his identity. As he builds under Jacquel Entertainment, the track marks the beginning of an artist bridging underground credibility with global reach.
