Xowla, a talented songwriter, producer, and singer, has carved a unique path in the music industry. With the guidance and mentorship of industry giants Big Zulu and DJ Tira, Xowla began his solo career, producing hits resonating with audiences nationwide. Reflecting on his inspiration, Xowla shares, “Creating this sound was a way for me to pay homage to the Kwaito genre, as it contributed a huge factor to me falling in love with music as I was growing up.”

He has been instrumental in the success of several Metro FM Award winners in 2023, including Inkabi Nation’s “Voicemail.” His production credits span numerous hits from Inkabi Records, such as “Imizwa” album by Lwah, “Langa Linye,” “Angsakhoni,” and “My Baby Yo” by Mduduzi Ncube.
