TT Mbha To Host A Real Man’s Conference This Saturday
This International Men’s Day, well known entrepreneur and socialite TT Mbha will observe the occasion by hosting a real man’s conference in honour of men in Mzansi. The inaugural event will not only be dedicated to celebrating manhood but is staged as a day of inspiration with various speakers scheduled.
Dubbed as Amatyma presents Suit-Up Sundowners, Men’s Only Premium Experience, the initiative will be hosted in the Eastrand’s township Tsakane (South Africa) this coming Saturday, and attending guests will hear from a myriad of speakers such as gospel sensations Dr Tumi and Khaya Mthethwa, media personality Nimrod Nkosi, author David Molapo, Act Now’s Tebogo Lerole and Apostle Sithole among others.
“What inspired the conceptualizing of this event are my own observations of how the number of annual events that are normally hosted when it comes to Women’s Day but none when it comes to International Men’s Day. So I thought for this year, why not create a memorable and inspiring day event for men by men,” he said.
“Ultimately the aim is to get men to be comfortable when speaking amongst themselves, to get men to appreciate the importance of dressing up and looking good – which is exactly what women do when they attend their high tea events and other women-centric events. That is why we will have varying topics for the day, one being that of personal grooming. But beyond that, we also hope for networking opportunities for the gents where we can find different ways of growing professionally as much as we will be growing personally,” he said.
Mbha, who is no stranger at flaunting his fatherhood journey, recently launched an ‘AMATYMA’ initiative, (which means fathers) – a platform where he seeks to rally men to open up about mental health issues.
The Men’s Only Premium Experience is another leg from ‘AMATYMA’ and hopes for men to find inspiration among each other – whether it be through looking good, through mental stimuli while digging deep into those uncomfortable conversations like finances.
“All I want is for us to have uncomfortable conversations like that of finances, not to destroy us but in the end it will also build us. And because it is common knowledge that men don’t talk and because of that, a lot is left unsaid, I thought it is very important for us to gather in this fashion to create a safe space for us all. This platform and movement is for us to vent amongst ourselves
The Men’s Only Premium Experience will be building on the recently hosted 2 Day GBVF Indaba, that was hosted in Sandton, where Mbha hopes to continue conversations around Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) at a township level where many GBVF cases have been reported over the years, while also inspiring a new era in manhood.
The day will focus on 3 wellness pillars: physical, mental, and financial wellness and is open to men of all age groups.
