TRESOR’s Motion Album: A Hypnotic Soundtrack to love and Life

TRESOR’s Motion Album: A Hypnotic Soundtrack to love and Life

Multi-award-winning artist, TRESOR, has released his highly anticipated 4th solo studio album, Motion, via Jacquel Entertainment Group today. The album features guest artists Ami Faku, Msaki, Da Capo, Sun-EL Musician and Scorpion Kings (Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa).

Motion is a vivid telling of TRESOR’s musical career narrative. The album makes use of classic samples that have influenced him as an artist and bravely explores future sounds and multilingual lyrics.  It is a clever shift from the nostalgic theme of his previous album to something a little bit more progressive that’s able to capture the essence of movement.

He cleverly combines a disco sound with a classic 80’s sample on “Dancing with the Moon” and revisits a reminiscing love story filled with dancing on “Last December”.

Taking it back to the Future, TRESOR goes full throttle on “Bring On The Night” and gets vulnerable on “Smoke & Mirrors” with Ami Faku, a love song about two people trying to find lost chemistry.

Once again, TRESOR delivers musical range on Motion by moving from traditional harmonious “Niambie” to sultry afrobeat inspired Starlight. Msaki appears on MOTION with a feature on “Hold Me Down”, another standout love song about devotion from the two. Keeping with a traditional sound, TRESOR pens a love letter on mbaqanga inspired “Anginalutho” and makes a rendition of Stimela’s classic Come To Me with his own “Zwakala”.

Where music imitates life, Motion acts as an indicator of where TRESOR has been; and where he is headed personally and sonically. It is a moving soundtrack to love, life, and new beginnings.

Motion, for me, is everything moving. The world is calling, our dreams are manifesting, and all the stars are aligned. Before I embark on this epic new journey, here’s a little sonic letter called Motion. Enjoy the music!” says TRESOR.
