The Replenishment Concert to introduce the Replenish Choir, says William Sejake
Joining this year’s line-up for the sophomore installment of The Replenishment Concert, William Sejake describes it as an honour.
The seasoned gospel star has been announced to be part of the all-star lineup which includes Ayanda Ntanzi, Betusile Mcinga, Dumi Mkokstad, Hle, and Hlengiwe Mhlaba.
Not only will William be joining the Replenishment family as a singer but has also been appointed by the concert’s pioneer Tbo Touch to introduce, for the first time, the concert’s choir dubbed the Replenish Choir.
“The choir is made up of fresh new faces and new talent. This is Tbo Touch’s baby and I am the one who is helping this baby to grow. He presented the vision to me, asking me to raise this baby and even after the concert, we plan to tour the world with the group of singers,” he said.
The concert is scheduled to take place later this month, in Centurion, and promises of an unforgettable experience.
“The day is going to be lit, I tell you. Everyone coming to the concert must come empty so they can be filled. Be prepared to be serenaded by new songs that we are working on and I believe this is a day to be reckoned with.”
William has been a singer for more than two-decades now, a journey that he said has been filled with both highs and lows, but a satisfactory one nonetheless.
And as a seasoned star, having been a part of so many other projects, this particular concert not only presented him with a different platform to do music but has empowered him also to collaborate with the show and expand his offering, he said.

“Saying yes to be part of the concert was both a huge opportunity for me and also favour from God. I was willing to be used by God through this very exciting medium of music. I was excited when I got the call to be part of this event, a great platform that has shifted so much in the gospel fraternity,” he said.
About Tbo Touch, William said: “I really think that Tbo Touch has made this day possible for us and this gives other young people an electrifying moment in their careers to be a part of history. As a vision bearer, I pray that God keeps him and gives him more so that other lives may be enlightened and empowered.”

William Sejake’s career journey
And while William Sejake has made a name for himself within the music industry, the Sebokeng born singer is a qualified fashion designer who initially wanted to study towards being a doctor.
“I fell in love with the medical profession when I was in primary school. I used to ride the train to go to school and at the station, where I used to get off to go home, there was a doctor and her name was Dr Nana. Every after school I would go and sit at her surgery just to enjoy the smell of medicine.
“That would take up an hour or two of my time, just immersing myself and would always say to myself ‘I want to do this’,” he said.
Fashion then crept up on him, as someone who enjoyed dressing well. He enrolled for a three year fashion design course and even went as far as practicing as a designer. Also giving practical’s to other students at some point.
But music has always been a part of his life.
“It was never a profession but something I knew I could do. I started singing at a very young age at church, seeing that both my parents are pastors. I always saw music as a spiritual activity more than a profession until later in life when I got the opportunity to sing with pastor Jabu Hlongwane on his Crosspower Experience album. After that, I was called for a Joyous Celebration audition and it was bliss ever since. I have never looked back since,” he said.
