SJAVA ANNOUNCES THE 2018 TOUR
Multi-award-winning artist Sjava has accompanied the release of his Inkanyezi Live EP and Inkanyezi Live DVD (out on YouTube) with the opening of tickets to his brand new live concert tour! Sjava The 2018 Tour.
This time, Sjava is taking us back to 2018, the year which saw the release of both his iconic and chart-topping sophomore album Umqhele & his Umphako EP, both of which have stood the test of time and are now modern classics.

Sjava The 2018 Tour will revisit fan-favourite venues like the Joburg Theatre, Playhouse Theatre (Durban), and the State Theatre (Pretoria). And because fans have asked for more, this tour is expanding its footproint wider than its predecessors (Isibuko Tour and The 2016 Tour): Cape Town, Bloemfontein and eMalahleni.
The tour kicks off in Cape Town at Green Point, Salesians AFC on 30 March, setting the tone for an incredible run. Next up, Durban’s Playhouse Theatre hosts two special nights on 11 & 12 April, followed by Pretoria’s State Theatre on 23 & 24 May. Bloemfontein gets its turn on 6 June at the iconic Sand Du Plessis Theatre, before Johannesburg audiences experience two powerful performances at Joburg Theatre on 15 & 16 August. The tour then wraps up in Emalahleni at @PlayTsogo Dome on 20 September.

The year 2018 was a game-changer for Sjava musically, and it was also the year he achieved international acclaim; receiving a BET Award and being featured in the Kendrick Lamar-produced Black Panther album that year. Sjava The 2018 Tour is a celebration of these two remarkable projects, (Umqhele and Umphako) and will feature unforgettable performances of hits like “Ikhandlela”, “Linda”, “Izitha”, and the anthemic “Abangani”, and will capture the energy, passion, and cultural richness that define Sjava’s artistry.

According to Sjava, “The way I am able to connect with my supporters and fans during live performances is so profound and has been an anchor for me in my career.
