Shebeshxt Apprehended for Attempted Murder, Bail Hearing Postponed to the 21st of November 2025

Controversial star and eccentric performer Shebeshxt, born Lehlogonolo Chauke, appeared at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court following his being charged with attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and damage to property. The Lekompo artist was arrested on Tuesday, the 11th of November 2025.

The mercurial musician was embroiled in a road rage encounter on the 19th of October 2025, which escalated and turned violent. The incident resulted in Shebeshxt shooting the motorist and wounding him severely. The 34-year-old victim is still in critical condition in hospital getting treated for the gunshot wounds.

The Limpopo sensation is due for his next appearance in court next week Friday, 21 November 2025, for his bail hearing. Until then, he remains in custody.

The road-related problem was not Shebeshxt’s first run-in with ill fate. Notorious for filming himself while driving, the “Twerka” hitmaker was inv0lved in two horrific car crashes last year. One of them claimed his nine-year-old daughter’s life while he was on his way to perform at an African National Congress rally in Limpopo along with other passengers. While he made it out alive, the accident damaged his leg.

Earlier that year, his first car crash left him shaken, but he escaped with his life and altogether unscathed. However, his car was left a write-off.

The rapper has also garnered infamy for showcasing his violent streak since finding time under the spotlight. In 2024, a polarising video of him went viral on the socials, showing him taking out a firearm from his signature backpack, pointing it at the crowd he was performing for and discharging while on stage during the performance. His blighted record with the law runs further than that, with Shebeshxt having a history with assault charges and the discharge of arms in separate cases all dating back to 2023.

This a developing story.
