Why did you say yes to a second season, opening your family to the world? I want to open up more so that people have a better understanding of me. There are so many misconceptions about me; people have their own ideas of who I am. I have come to a point where I want to tell my own story in my own words.

Coming back on screen now, are you nervous about anything? No, I’m not nervous about anything, I’m a fearless warrior.

How is this mam’Mkhize different from the one we saw on season 1? Season one was about regaining my identity, season two is about my family and who we are as a family unit.

What sort of themes can people expect to see? It’s all centered around family values but you’ll have to watch to find out more.

You seem to be a very open person, the reality TV show, your book. What do you hope people learn from you and your life journey? That it’s not all roses and rainbows! With success comes hardships, challenges and obstacles that you have to conquer.

How was the shooting period like for you and your family?  The filming was fine, we had schedules and had to work around those schedules.

Will we see Dan Dan this season? Yes of course she is part of my family.

Anything you are specifically excited about? I’m excited for people to tune in and watch the next chapter of Kwamamkhize on Showmax!

Shauwn promises to share the ups and downs of her life, stating, “Sometimes people believe that our lives are perfect, but that’s not the reality. We also face difficult times, but we come out of those situations. People who find inspiration in us will see our human side and relate to the journey we are on.”
