Rainbow Nation Kids Celebrates Heritage Day By Sharing a Kids Rendition of the National Anthem
This Heritage Day, Rainbow Nation Kids releases a special rendition of ‘Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika’ (South African National Anthem) featuring the IMAD Khayelitsha Junior Choir.
Rainbow Nation Kids is the brainchild of South African singer, songwriter and producer Lungi Naidoo. Over the past year, Rainbow Nation Kids have released two albums ‘Zulu Nursery Rhymes’ and ‘Mzansi Lullabies’ as well as a Zulu Nursery Rhymes children’s book.
Talking about the new single ‘Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika’ (South African National Anthem), Naidoo says: “Recording the National Anthem with these amazing kids has been the highlight of my year. What an amazing experience. Please enjoy and sing along.”
The single was recorded at Milestone Studios in Cape Town, South Africa and produced by Lungi Naidoo and her co-producer Ryan Sackanary.
