Q Twins Infuse Maskandi With Their Afropop Sound In New Song Titled “Umalambana” Featuring Gatsheni
The Q Twins have something special lined up for the 8th of March.
With an amazing collaboration on this beautiful record, it’s not the first time Q Twins have featured a maskandi artist; they did it on “Ngiyesaba” first, where they featured Ntencane. Now they are back with another one, and this time around they have brought out Gatsheni, the maker of the hit song “Hit After Hit”
“Umalambana” is a fusion of Afro-pop and maskandi, which is what sets this record apart from other Q Twins jams. The message on “Umalambana” is no matter how many times you fail in life and no matter what people say about you behind your back, those things will pass, and you need to get back up in your feet and start winning.

In the captivating musical landscape of South Africa, the harmonious journey of Q Twins, comprising of Viggy and Virginia from the town of Nonoti in KwaZulu-Natal, began with their entrancing performances on SA IDOLS 2019.
As contestants they swiftly became the darlings of the season enchanting millions with their melodious voices that echoed through every corner of the nation. Their presence on social media soared, consistently claiming the top spot every Sunday and creating a wave of anticipation and admiration.
Their exit from SA IDOLS became a doorway to the next phase where the renowned DJ Tira with an eagle eye for talent wasted no time in welcoming them into the fold of his highly successful Afrotainment label.. The collaboration bore fruit in the form of their debut mainstream single “Hamba”, a melodic masterpiece featuring Tira himself.
Q Twins went on to release numerous songs, and albums after that and achieved awards and honors from The Basadi Awards and offered YouTube viewers a cross cultural view on the Piano City channel.
