Netizens Get Behind Lesego Pase After Being Bullied By Friends-Turned-Foes of #JusticeForBabyKaone

Following weeks of suspense since the movement of #JusticeForKaone shot into the limelight owing to bereaved mother Lesego Pase sharing the chilling story surrounding the mysterious death of her son Kaone Peka, the dilemma has taken a cruel twist.

Social media has been ablaze with discourse since Lesego began sharing the testimony of her son not only dying under questionable circumstances in his father’s care but the hasty and clandestine burial of the little boy which reeked of foul play.

Upon mustering the courage to share her ordeal on Instagram, Pase managed to touch millions with her story, with organisations such as Women for Change rallying behind her to obtain the needed documents to exhume the corpse of Kaone while also opening up channels on social media for Good Samaritans to chip in to help her pay legal fees.

As if the trauma wasn’t bad enough, the mourning mother has been revealed to be dealing with bullies who purported to be on her side since getting behind her to help.

Screenshots have been shared by a user by the name of @MasekoValenciaN showing alleged WhatsApp chats of a group named JusticeforBabyKaone, with participants berating Lesego for the way she’s been handling the matter when it comes to sharing on-the-pulse developments.

Armchair yet diligent detectives of social media got down to work in trying to pinpoint who the culprits were, with the ladies in the group chat, so far, being identified as Botse Mabotja, who works at Eskom; Tamara Tanglow (social media name), who owns Tanglow Natural Skincare; Michelle Maboya of interior designing brand Kooperlooks Interiors; a user on X called @Khuthala, and Buzzy B, who has been canvassing for support concerning the matter on Instagram.

The ladies on the group have even gone on to insinuate that Pase was conning them, alluding that Lesego has been trying to get a quick buck out of them and that she was more obsessed with fishing for attention on Instagram when they felt they were the ones who were supposed to be kept up to speed.

Netizens on X have been tagging the workplaces of the women allegedly implicated in bullying Lesego, trying to fight on behalf of Kaone’s mother.

This is a developing story.
