MR JAZZIQ & VIGRO DEEP TEAM UP ON A JOINT EP TITLED ‘THE GRASS IS GREENER’ AND RELEASE “FEDE”

All You Need Is Piano hitmaker, DJ, producer and businessman Mr JazziQ has teamed up with undeniable force in the piano space, Vigro Deep, and together they have worked on an innovative take on Amapiano on their new EP titled The Grass Is Greener.

Launching the countdown, the dynamic duo has released the first single off the upcoming joint EP, titled, “Fede”. The single is a perfect demonstration of what happens when two boys from South Africa who were born to Kwaito, raised by house music and travelled the world because of Amapiano, eventually come together and cook something worldly.

Listen here.

Vigro Deep talks about what inspired him to want to create this body of work: “I spent a lot of time overseas studying how other DJs outside of home present and produce their music, this then inspired me to come back home and want to make music that I know would appeal to places where Amapiano hasn’t really tapped in. The one person I kept thinking about when thinking about this project was my good friend Mr Jazziq and the rest was history.”

“Fede” is the perfect blend of Black Is Brown’s signature sound Mozambique and the new wave on the street, it has a higher tempo to appeal to the masses overseas. The top line on this song keeps chanting Fede, which is a popular exclamation used in South African townships.

Mr JazziQ shares how he feels about the upcoming EP: “Vigro is a very good friend of mine, we have made so much amazing music together and can’t wait for you guys to hear the growth in music we have both experienced since we last worked together.”

The eight-track EP set to drop in August is guaranteed to make the South African summer even hotter, if “Fede” is anything to go by, The Grass Is Greener is going to an essential for all summer playlists.
