Minnie Dlamini Demands MacG and Sol Phenduka to Cough Up R2.5 Million for Defamatory Remarks on Podcast and Chill

Minnie Dlamini Demands MacG and Sol Phenduka to Cough Up R2.5 Million for Defamatory Remarks on Podcast and Chill

In an escalated turn of events, TV personality and presenter Minnie Dlamini has reportedly filed an official lawsuit against Podcast and Chill hosts MacG and Sol Phenduka for the defamatory remarks they made about her and her genitalia back in May this year. The pair have been sued for R2.5 million.

The development, according to Sunay World, comes months after Minnie issued a statement in response to the notorious episode which sparked the controversy. On the episode, MacG alleged that Dlamini’s inability to keep a stable relationship was a result of her private parts having an unpleasant odour. This allegation came after Minnie and her ex-boyfriend Dr Brian Monaisa called it quits in April after their relationship was seemingly confirmed in January 2025 with cozy photographs of the lovebirds.

In her statement dated 13 May 2025, Dlamini was forthright about taking legal action against the podcast and the leaders of the platform in spite of receiving an apology from them for their injurious statements concerning her. She was also candid about making an example of the matter, citing that an injury to her was an injury to every woman, and that the only way she could make things right was by dragging the matter to be settled before the judge.

“I will continue to pursue legal recourse,” she said in the statement. “Because as a public figure and a mother, I must act not only for myself but for every woman whose dignity is violated in the name of content and entertainment.”

The alleged R2.5 million settlement will be divided in two, with R1 million to be paid to Dlamini for damages, while the remaining amount is to be given to the woman’s organisation Women for Change and is to be paid within a period of ninety days. The total amount is to be split anyhow between MacG and Phenduka.

Minnie also reportedly requested a court-sanctioned apology from the two directed at her and women as a whole, after deeming their apology as insincere and devoid of remorse.

This is a developing story.
