Minnie Celebrates Beyoncé in Bootylicious Outfit
Beyoncé’s birthday is clearly an international holiday that hasn’t been officialised yet. Just ask Minnie Dlamini, who, along with other friends, celebrated the icon’s 40th birthday by cosplaying the ‘characters’ in her music video.
The actress and TV personality showed off her perfect figure while dressed in the iconic pink ensemble from Destiny’s Child “Bootylicious” music video. Another celebrity who has cosplayed this look to a T is American rapper, Saweetie. She dressed up as every member of the trio for Halloween in 2020 and wowed fans.
Minnie’s “Bootylicious” outfit, which was designed by Jessica Jane, was beautifully embellished with floral details across the hip and leg while Saweetie and Beyoncé’s pants were bejewelled with a relatively more understated design. The dress up wasn’t all just fashion and fun though. Minnie and her girlfriends made a light competition out of it where Minnie came second.
Other looks from the party included Thandile Mbana (who came first place) dressed as Beyoncé in “Get Me Bodied”, Megan Gallie wearing the beta delta kappa sweatshirt and denim shorts from Homecoming and Azola Mona wearing one of the singer’s looks from her 2018 Global Citizen performances.
