Men Accused of Murdering AKA Denied Bail – Case Adjourned Till the 8th of August
The cohort of five men accused of murdering South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane have been denied bail by Magistrate Vincent Hlatshwayo at the Durban Magistrate’s Court.
The group – Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, 30, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, 35, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, 21, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni, 36, and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, 29 – appeared in court on Wednesday, 15 May 2024.

The case has been put on hold until the 8th of August 2024.
For the time being, the accused will remain in custody at Westville Correctional Centre in Durban. National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Natasha Ramkission-Kara deducted that the court denied the men bail because the court didn’t deem the men trustworthy enough to be left on a lax leash.
“The five were denied bail with the court saying that it would be reckless and irresponsible to release the applicants out on bail,” said Ramkission-Kara.
AKA and Tibz were gunned down outside Wish restaurant situated in Florida Road on 10 February 2023.
