Mata and Muzi-TheMbuzi Evicted from Big Brother Mzansi

In a dramatic turn of events during the seventh live eviction show of Big Brother Mzansi Season 5, housemates Mathapelo “Mata” Mashila and Muziomhle “Muzi-TheMbuzi” Mdluli were booted out of the Big Brother house.

The evening kickstarted with a sublime performance from Sjava and The Qwellers, giving a rendition of “Typhoon”, setting an energetic tone for the night’s proceedings. The evictions of Mata and Muzi-TheMbuzi have notably impacted housemate Nsuku, who is now marooned and without her closest allies.

On stage with host Smash Afrika, Mata addressed her decision to nominate Nsuku, stating, “I still don’t take anything back. I don’t like feeling like I am the puppet to the puppet master, so I still stand by what I said.”

Muzi-TheMbuzi reflected on his relationship with Nsuku, mentioning, “She meant a lot to me… but so far we are just besties, nothing much.” Looking ahead, Muzi-TheMbuzi expressed enthusiasm for pursuing international DJing opportunities following his departure from the show.

With only a month remaining in the competition and 14 housemates left, the atmosphere in the Big Brother house is intensifying. Host Smash Afrika reminded the contestants that this is not the time to become complacent, emphasizing the heightened stakes as the season progresses.
