Jub Jub On the Wrong Side of The Law Once Again For Three Serious Criminal Charges

TV presenter, musician, and media personality Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as Jub Jub, has gotten on the wrong side of the law once again. The Uyajola 9/9 star was charged with three criminal charges: rape, assault, and attempted murder.

According to Sunday World, the multi-hyphenate made a formal court appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday afternoon. This came after Molemo handed himself over at Brixton Police Station earlier after a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

“The matter has been under investigation and after the docket was taken to the NPA for a decision, a decision was taken that the suspect needed to be arrested. After getting a tip-off that he was wanted by the police, he decided to hand himself in. After police were satisfied that there was a strong case against the suspect, the NPA took a decision to prosecute,” said a source with knowledge of the matter according the Sunday World.

Maarohanye was subsequently released bail set at R10 000.

In 2012, the “Ndikhokhele” hitmaker was convicted, with his friend, of murder after a drag race gone wrong saw them crash into a cohort of school kids, claiming four of their lives. However, the conviction was later changed to culpable homicide in 2014 before they got eventually released in 2017.

This is a developing story.
