Introducing Rueth and Her Brand New Debut R&B single “Wun’t I”
Rising songstress Reuth’s latest release “Wun’t I”, her debut R&B offering, is one that resonates deeply with her audience, signifying a significant milestone in her musical journey. Ruth Shai, a 23-year-old emerging R&B singer-songwriter from Limpopo, South Africa, was born on January 27, 2002. She completed her high school education at Mafolofolo High School and subsequently enrolled at the University of South Africa to pursue a degree in Psychology.
Known for her versatility in the R&B and soul genres, Rueth began her musical career in a school choir. Since becoming a professional artist in 2021, she has released two albums that showcase her commitment to artistic growth. Her music features a unique blend of love stories, emotional depth, and motivational themes. The new single combines smooth urban rhythms, trap beats, and soulful melodies, resulting in a memorable listening experience.

Her recognition as an emerging international singer by thousands of audiences, following features in prominent news outlets such as British Hip Hop, Hype Magazine, Independent Music and Arts Insider, New Music Weekly, and Music Crown, has led to new opportunities for her brand.Her new song’s narrative revolves around a couple in which the female lead discovers that her male partner has been publicly displaying disinterest in her, despite harboring genuine feelings. Faced with this conflicting message, she chooses to confront the issue, resulting in an emotionally charged moment. This theme resonates with many, and those who relate to it are likely to forge a strong connection with the music. Motivated by her own experiences, Rueth chose to study psychology to support young Black women facing gender-based violence (GBV). Her goal is to empower them and alleviate their suffering through music, which has served as a therapeutic outlet for her own past struggles.
As she gained more experience in the music industry, she began to connect with influential individuals who were eager to support her goal of achieving global recognition as an independent artist.
The single “Wunt” was officially dropped on April 18, 2025, and is already available on major music streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Beatport, Spotify, and YouTube.
