Cotton Fest Durban In a Glance: Highlights From This Year’s Edition

Cotton Fest Durban, the 2023 instalment of one of the country’s biggest music-cum-culture festivals which brings together the OGs of the industry and the young artists on the come-up, has come and gone. The spectacle, which took place at the HollywoodBets Kings Park Stadium, boasted a roster of over 60 of the biggest musical acts, including Sjava, Big Zulu, Emtee, and Blxckie, among others.

As always, the show was all about celebrating street culture and the musical endeavours of the young hustlers in the game. Everyone rocked up and showed out, and the show was a success.

One of the standout appearances at this year’s Cotton Fest was amapiano vocalist and media personality Robot Boii, the Cotton Fest’s very own alumnus. He represented the spirit of the late AKA by donning a denim jacket decorated with his likeness. Another high-profile performer who turned heads was singer Elaine with her startling all-blue attire and a cape-like coat.
