Carpo Ready To Cement Himself As An Actor.

Social media personality, and all round nice guy, Carpo is planning to cement himself as a fully-fledged actor as he finishes the year strong with two upcoming films.

The 32-year-old, who hails from the North West’s Mahikeng, shared his excitement about the imminent release of his upcoming film that will be succeeded by another titled The Gang in the new year

Not in a position to divulge more than what his contract stipulates about his December film, Carpo, real name Solomon More,  shared that the film was shot in Durban and keeps in line with lightheartedness that Mzansi has come to know and love him for.

“It’s a comedy film and that is my fortier. I am intentional about wanting to associate my brand with comedy content because I want to always make people laugh and smile,” he said in an early morning interview with Frontpage

The next film under his sleeve, The Gang, is set to hit the cinema early next year where he got to work with the likes of Pearl Mo, Kagiso Modupe, Seputla Sebogodi, Joey Rasdien and Anton Jeftha among others.

Although acting was never his planned career, he said he could not imagine himself doing anything else.

“How I started acting is that I was approached by a director, Star Kganki Mphahlele, after he was impressed by my many instagram charades. He asked for a meet up to pitch for a movie on Mzansi Magic titled Machansa. That is where and how the acting bug bit me essentially,” he said excitedly.

“I was obviously nervous about getting into the role in Machansa but the film got so big that we ended up recording its sequel. It was wild. But during all that, I learnt that I can also be myself and that is what eased me into it,” he added.

Mzansi was first introduced to Carpo as Casper Nyovest’s best friend before he successfully carved his own career as one of the funniest acts on the social streets and making headlines while at it.

Since then, he has also collaborated with various brands and has recently named as one the influencers for the Lite’n Up campaign – which keeps with the lighter side of his personality.

“I am excited at the fact that I can confidently wear different hats, and one of those is acting. So I am looking forward to what the future has in store for me. I am willing to push the envelope even further when it comes to my career but I am also content and happy with where I am now,” he said.

“Looking at how far I have come to where I am now, I am truly blessed,” he said before chuckling away.
