In a Twitter post that went live on Monday morning, 7 August 2023, Queen B made the news known to her followers, expressing her excitement for this coming Sunday.

“Excited to return as host of the Miss South Africa Finale… Live from the SunBet Arena, Pretoria. Join us THIS Sunday at 18:30 on SABC 3!” she said.

This year’s instalment of Miss SA will not mark the first time the House of BNG founder hosted the pageant, having done it twice (2018 and 2019) after being part of the judging panel in the 2014 edition.

As far as the judging panel is concerned, another change comes in the shape of Thuso Mbedu, according to a press statement by L’Oreal Paris shared by IOL.

“We are honoured to have the L’Oreal Paris Sub-Saharan Ambassador Thuso Mbedu join the Miss South Africa 2023 judging panel,” said Ayanda Mackay, Marketing Manager for L’Oreal Paris Skin and Hair.
