Beekay and Swiss Next to Be Evicted from the Big Brother House
With less than two weeks remaining before the winner of Big Brother Mzansi Season 5 is crowned, last night’s live eviction show saw this season’s top 10 pared down to 8 by two eliminations. After another week of mass nominations, the fans spoke and decided that they’d had enough of watching Beekay and Swiss, who subsequently got the least number of votes among those set up to be evicted.
After former Big Brother contestant Liema set the stage aflame with her new single “Let Me Be”, it was Smash Afrika’s onus as the bird of ill omen to break the news to the housemates who were huddled up, anxiously waiting to know what their fate would be after coming so far. Of the top 10, those who faced the looming threat of the axe included Nate, Uyanda, Jojo, Mshini, Sweet Guluva and the eventual losers of the night. Nsuku was exempt from the chopping block thanks to being the week’s holder of the Head of House title.
Although he came up short by two weeks, eliminated contestant Beekay expressed that he was proud to have gotten as far as the top 10 of which he called a “social experiment”. Ever smiling and in high spirits, Beekay didn’t look fazed, even in the slightest, after being ejected.

Next to be evicted was the housemate that viewers loved to hate, the ostensible bad guy of the game: Swiss. Keeping it a buck concerning who he loved in the house and with whom there wasn’t any love lost, Swiss was cool and collected as he accepted his fate. However, he took home with him a portion of the prize money he’d won in the game, so he wasn’t leaving empty-handed as per se.
