Batswadi Magazine Features Content Creators Buli, Kutlwano, Katlego And Megan On Their Special Edition Cover
South African content creators have graciously shared their motherhood journeys with their audiences since the boom of the country’s digital marketing industry. Through creating awe-inspiring content with their bundles of joy, these 21st-century moms have given us a taste of motherhood in the digital content age.
For the latest Batswadi cover, they delve into the journey of content creators experiencing motherhood for the first time and explore how they intend to marry this new aspect of their lives in the new media space that they work in.
Travel content creator, lawyer and advocate, Kutlwano Motla (33) also known as The Boujee Traveller, conceptualised the idea and brought together fellow content creators Buli Makhubo (29) architect, Megan Gallie (28) events management graduate, and Dr Katlego Lekalakala (28) medical doctor, for this special feature.
“As a new mom it can be tough to navigate life with a newborn. I was struggling to get back to being myself since having my baby and would follow all the content creators that just announced their pregnancies and had newborns, and the concept of this cover came from that. To want to understand their journeys. We all post amazing content and create beautiful images and videos, so I wanted them and myself to share how we’re navigating as new moms in the social media world. Pretty pictures don’t always tell the full story,” shares Kutlwano Motla.

Over the next 4 week, Batswadi Magazine will be rolling out the candid conversations each of the ladies had about their motherhood journeys and how this intersects with their careers as digital content creators. You can read the weekly interviews here:https://batswadi.co.za/
I would like people to appreciate the journey of motherhood from this cover. I really wanted to do this cover with these ladies because of how much they express themselves and for them to know what an inspiration they are to the many followers they have. Being content creators, there is so much pressure to give of yourself and I think each of us do so to the extent of our choosing. This new age of social media comes with the pressure to confirm but I love how each of us stands out,” expresses Kutlwano Motla.
