Balcony Mix Africa and Major League DJz presents Murumba Pitch “New Beginnings” EP
Multi award-winning South African music duo, Major League DJz, celebrate their birthday with a Murumba Pitch Balcony Mix Africa EP titled “New Beginnings”, released through emPawa Africa.
This second EP released, under their Balcony Mix Africa label, sees the pair usher in the New Year by staying true to their brand promise of feeding the culture, making the EP a reflection of that promise.
“New Beginnings’‘ is a 5-track Amapiano body of work and has sounds of soulful drum Amapiano with the deep smooth tone vocals from Murumba Pitch. The compilation features artists such as Mathandos, Omit ST, S.O.N, Bassie, Senjay and MaWhoo.
This anticipated release from one of Mzansi’s glorified vocalists, Murumba Pitch, is just the tip of the iceberg of what the Balcony Mix Africa collective will release this year.
The “New Beginnings” release follows the successful debut Balcony Mix Africa EP release with LuuDadeejay’s “Groovers Prayer”, released in December 2021.
With Major League DJz and emPawa Africa at the helm of the “New Beginnings” release, the project promises the same high quality that music lovers across the globe have been accustomed to.

The partnership between Major League DJz and emPawa Africa continues to be an innovative and pioneering one – which brought the amapiano audience a 75 hours Balcony Mix Africa set, the second annual Amapiano Mondays in Ghana and puts fresh new talent at the forefront of African and global audiences.
Among their successes is seeing the duo sign with Atlantic Records last year, which is the home of high-ranked superstars such as Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Burna Boy, among others. That success laid the foundation of a very successful 2022, with 2023’s bar set really high.
