A Lockdown Lovestory we’ve all been waiting for, Pilani Bubu announces new EP
Hot off the heels of successful tours in Ghana and Kenya, singer-songwriter and TV presenter, Pilani Bubu, announces her highly anticipated EP, Lockdown Lovestory, set for release on 25 March 2022.
Written and recorded during the height of the pandemic, Pilani Bubu’s Lockdown Lovestory is inspired by the journey she takes in a long distance and virtual relationship, exploring the nuances of the loneliness and yearning presented by this circumstance. The indelible storyteller explores the feelings of fantasy and nostalgia packaged in Nu-RnB, an ode to RnB and Neo Soul, making references to 90’s – 2000s teen nostalgia in the music production as well as the visual storytelling.
“I’m excited to finally be releasing music again after three years. Lockdown Lovestory is my most personal work to date and I can’t wait to share it with the world,” express the SAMA award-winning artist.
