The Second Annual Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund Fun Walk Heralds the Arrival of Nelson Mandela Day
As International Nelson Mandela Day draws closer, the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund is back with its second annual Children’s Fun Walk. Themed “Gone but not forgotten”, this year’s Fun Walk aims to commemorate the late Tata’s love for children and his passion for changing the way society views them.
The Children’s Fun Walk will start from the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital. The initiative will see participants walk past the offices of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund before they enter the Johannesburg Zoo for a day of fun-filled activities as already set in place as part of the 28th Annual Nelson Mandela Children’s Celebration.
This year’s walk is open to members of the public and their families, in limited numbers, to engage and interact with the beneficiaries of the Fund and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital.
