AKA Receives Justice As Courts Rule in Favour of His 50% Stake in The Braai Show
Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, affectionately known as AKA, has endured an onslaught of personal and business trauma over the past two years. With the death of his former partner, Anele Tembe and allegations of his involvement in it, he has had to pause on his business engagements and have a concept TV show: The Braai Show, stolen from him.
The Second Season of The Braai Show launched with a new host while AKA was grieving, and it was none other than his arch-nemesis, Cassper Nyovest. Having endured the antagonizing frustrations and a lengthy court battle, aka has shared with his social media following that the courts have ruled in his favour, and he is indeed 50% owner of The Braai Show.

In 2021 Sunday World reported that Mr Forbes expressed intention to pursue legal action against various stakeholders who side-lined him and prematurely cut ties with him despite being a 50% owner of the show. He further expressed his disdain for the insult to injury incurred from the first correspondent from the SABC, who took a negative view of his then negative e publicity and the tactful ruse to end their work relationship.
The court ruling concluded that Mr Forbes was entitled to benefit equally with MakhaduCom Media from the profits and acknowledged the “exploitation of the jointly own copyright in relation to the show”. Mr Forbes has taken to social media to share an elated statement concerning his legal battle win and further stated that the war is far from over; he is going to fight for all that is due to him.
