Afro-House DJ and Producer Kenza Releases Debut Album “Music in Colors”
Rising Afro-house DJ and producer Kenza makes his long-awaited solo debut with Music in Colors, an album that captures the vibrant palette of South African dance music through soulful melodies, emotive vocals, and rich rhythmic textures. The album has arrived across all streaming platforms.
Having spent the past few years shaping the sound of modern South African house, Kenza—real name Keanen Leroy Bekeer—has co-created some of the country’s most beloved tracks alongside Ami Faku, Msaki, Sun-El Musician, Mthunzi, Caiiro, and Mpho.Wav. A protégé of Sun-El Musician and the El-World / Under the Sun family, Kenza now steps into his own spotlight, bringing a deeply personal and sonically rich vision to life.

Following early solo successes with his debut single “Sihlobo Sami” featuring Ami Faku and his 2021 EP Fly Away, Kenza’s debut album Music in Colors marks a major milestone—an artistic statement crafted with care, emotion, and collaboration at its core.
Blending Afro-house and 3-step influences, the album features an impressive roster of collaborators, including powerhouse vocalists Msaki, Ami Faku, Simmy, and Mthunzi, alongside celebrated producers Heavy-K, Sun-El Musician, Mpho.Wav, and more. Together, they help Kenza weave a sonic journey that celebrates unity, diversity, and musical craftsmanship.
The project’s focal track, “Uyibonani” featuring NatashaMD, is a soulful and emotive piece that merges deep house rhythms with smooth Afro-fusion melodies. The song explores themes of connection and perception—perfectly encapsulating the emotional depth and vibrant sound that define Music in Colors.
