As we step into a new year, South African music heavyweights Big Zulu (Siyabonga Nene) and Azana (Makhosazana Masango), featuring Malungelo, are gifting fans with a heartfelt anthem of love, “AMACALA OTHANDO”. Set for release on 24 January 2025, this soul-stirring collaboration captures the essence of love, respect, and the beauty of overcoming challenges in relationships.
The song opens with Big Zulu passionately expressing his frustrations through emotive lyrics: “Ngikwenzela konke kanti ngonani la ekhaya mina angikutholi ukuphumla.” His powerful delivery reflects the inner turmoil of a man striving to find peace and understanding with his partner, setting the tone for an emotional dialogue.

It’s an argumentative dialogue between the lovers expressing their concerns. At the end of this heated argument, they agree never to grow apart despite their challenges. It was an amazing experience working with Big Zulu, whom I see as a living legend. This collaboration is an answered prayer.”
