DJ Lag & Lady Du’s “Lucifer”: An Extended Dancefloor Essential

The amapiano remix of DJ Lag & Lady Du’s “Lucifer” turns an already hypnotic track into an extended, steamy dancefloor essential for the upcoming festive season.

“Lucifer” is the first single off DJ Lag’s debut full-length album, Meeting with the King, which will be released worldwide on 18 February 2022. The track came out of DJ Lag’s desire to create Gqom 2.0, an evolved version of Gqom with a slower tempo. While fans may have to wait a while for the album, “Lucifer” is currently available for streaming (see link at the end of the article).

Rising global star, Lady Du has made a great contribution to this eight-minute sonic salvo that’s set for an international club takeover in the coming months. Her sonic fingerprints are audible on this remix and make for an electrifying and sensorial experience. As a whole, the track makes a resounding case for South African electronic music as a boundary breaker in the global music scene.

“Lucifer’s” Amapiano Remix will be followed by a slate of singles from DJ Lag, building up to the highly anticipated release of Meeting with the King in 2022.

DJ Lag – “the international pantsula” – has been on an international tour, recently performing at the Boiler Room Festival in London (October 15th), the Goon Club Allstars & Ormside present DJ Lag (October 16th), and Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) on October 17th as part of Cloud 8 & Ziongate presents Tribes event at Paradiso.
