Decorated Actor Sello Motloung Has Passed On Aged 53
South African actor Sello Motloung has passed away at the age of 53.
News of the veteran’s departure was announced via Actor Spaces on Instagram, who shared a press statement regarding Motloung’s death. The statement was purportedly written by a representative authorised, by the Motloung family, to share the tragic news.
“We are devastated to inform you of the sudden passing of Ntate Sello Motloung on Sunday 15, September.
“His family is in shock and we ask that you give them space at this time. For any enquiries please contact Artist Connection.
“Sello will forever be remembered as one of our legends and we will miss him tremendously,” said the curt statement.

Sello had a fruitful 34-year career in the entertainment industry, where he took up space as an actor, presenter, and an MC.
With television and film credits that date all the way back to the 90s, Sello’s pedigree in the industry include: Chikin Biznis, Soul City, Jacob’s Cross, 90 Plein Street, Backstage, Sokhulu & Partners, Isidingo, Scandal, Rhythm City, Rockville, The Queen, Ring of Lies, The Wife and most recently The Estate.
Motloung’s time under the sun also saw him collect film credits from Gangster’s Paradise: Jerusalema, Ivictus, How to Steal 2 Million, Happiness is a Four-Letter Word, and An Act of Defiance.
