Untitled Basement To Bring The FNB Art Joburg Official After Party To Life
Untitled Basement is excited to be collaborating again with FNB Art Joburg for FNB Art Joburg Official After Party.
This year we are excited to work with the diaspora with a live performance from Bantu Spaceship: Live Performance (Zimbabwe). Bantu Spaceship are part of a young generation of artists inspired by the creative explosion in Zimbabwe in the 1980s. When artists began to combine local styles with contemporary Western sounds, creating alternative and experimental movements, translating this golden age into a hybrid style they call “New Jit Wave”. We also have from Zambia DJ Copper will be blessing with some Zamrock Afrobeat and Afrofunk Sounds. We are also excited to co-curate the diaspora artists with First Floor Gallery (Zimbabwe) and Modzi Arts (Zambia) who are both exhibiting at FNB Art Joburg respectively.
