Mikhalé Jones’ Album Is Out Now!
Mikhalé Jones’ previous singles have taken her fans on a journey of heartbreak and now, they finally get to have some closure with the release of her latest album, It Is What It Is.
She introduces an 11 track neo-soul album where she offers breathtaking vocals and expertly blends elements of trap and R&B. The project opens with “Our Story “which is a melodic introduction of her journey and filters down to tracks like “Talk To Me” which puts an emphasis on communication. ‘It Is What It Is “centres around the final emotional straw one goes through during a breakup.
In a listening session held for her fans yesterday, Mikhalé mentioned “My breakup wasn’t in vain, listening to my album is so healing and I appreciate that I went through all these emotions.”
This R&B album is reviving the genre in South Africa according to reviews. Mikhalé has been getting some love from out of the country as well, which has elevated her into international status.
