Inga Hina releases debut album, Promises To Makhulu
Gqeberha-born singer-songwriter, Inga Hina, has released her debut album titled, Promises To Makhulu.
The 10-track body of work is an ode to her grandmother. “Make her proud” sees Inga Hina coming into her own with an Afro Soul sound infused with pop and R&B sound. She hopes the album will have people focusing on her voice and her story-telling.
Raised by her late grandmother in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape, Inga Hina’s upbringing was one filled with lots of music. “I was privileged to be introduced to all kinds of music early on in my childhood, this has entrenched in me an appreciation for simple, yet meaningful and relatable storytelling,” shares Inga Hina.
It is this upbringing that allows Inga Hina to create material that is honest and authentic which she is hopeful will resonate with all music lovers.
